Do I need alarm or CCTV experience to apply?
It's preferred, but not required. If you have experience with electrical work, HVAC, low voltage wiring, or any hands-on technical trade, you already have a solid foundation. We provide paid training on the specific systems we install. We've hired plenty of people with zero alarm experience who turned into great technicians because they were willing to learn and put in the effort.
Do I need to bring my own tools?
You should have your own basic hand tools (drill, screwdrivers, wire strippers, multimeter, etc.). We provide specialized equipment and test gear specific to the alarm and camera systems we install. If you're not sure exactly what you need, we'll go over the tool list during the onboarding process.
Is there a company vehicle?
Details about vehicle arrangements are discussed during the interview process. A valid G class driver's licence is required for this position since you'll be travelling to job sites across the Niagara Region, Hamilton, and the GTA daily.
What's the interview process like?
It's straightforward. You apply through the form on this page. If your background looks like a fit, we'll call you for a phone screen. Then you'll come in for an in-person interview at our Niagara Falls location. We're not looking for perfect interview answers. We're looking for people who are honest, reliable, and genuinely interested in the work.
What systems will I be working on?
Primarily DSC PowerG alarm panels and wireless devices, along with various IP camera systems (Dahua, Hikvision, and others). You'll also work with smart home devices like video doorbells, smart locks, and thermostats. We provide full training on everything. The security industry evolves fast, and we keep our team current on the latest technology.
How far will I need to travel for work?
Most of your work will be in the Niagara Region and Hamilton area. Some jobs take you into the GTA (Toronto, Mississauga, Brampton, Oakville, Burlington). You'll start your day from our Niagara Falls base. We try to schedule jobs geographically so you're not driving all over the map in a single day.
