What's the difference between a BAS and a BMS?
In practice, people use building automation system (BAS) and building management system (BMS) interchangeably. They both refer to the central system that controls and monitors your building's mechanical, electrical, and security systems. Some people use BMS when talking more about monitoring and BAS when talking about automated control. Either way, it's the same concept. One system running your building.
Can you integrate with our existing HVAC equipment?
Usually yes. Most commercial HVAC systems have control boards that can connect to a BAS through DDC controllers. Older equipment might need a few adapters, but it's rare that we can't integrate it. We assess everything during the initial building walkthrough and tell you exactly what's possible with your current setup.
